Moonshine Bluegrass Band - France

The band was founded in 1998 around 2 ex-members of much travelled Pony Express and is based in the French Alps / Geneva area.
All musicians share a common love of traditional vocal and instrumental bluegrass mixed with some great fiddle tunes and some more contemporary "hard drive" bluegrass. This is definitely a bluegrass band.Two of the band members are French, with one American (from Bristol, Tn) and a Brit.
The band consists of :

John Spangler - banjo, lead and tenor vocal

Nugget - Austria

Nugget - EWOB 1999 band of the year - was the first bluegrass band in AustriaOostenrijk. They started in 1976 with only Helmut's brother Werner Mitteregger and a friend Wolfgang Motzko. Soon they changed to a four piece band, with Willie Bell, Hannes Neubauer, Thomas Reingruber and Helmut himself. Helmut tried to raise the qulity of his band further by looking accross Austrians borders for personel - at a "Golden Distance", as he called their first LP - and found Ingo Sandhoven in Munich, Thierry Massoubre in Paris, Warren Amberson, a fiddleplayer from Virginia and Katharine Porizkova in Bratislava in Slovakia, which he also took for his wife. Since then Helmut, Katharina and Thierry became the nucleus of Nugget although we find them many times in the company of the Czech superpicker Jarda Jahoda on banjo. The band as well as the members themselves have won many awards over the years. Katharina has won the title of Country Singer of the Year from the Austrian Country Music Federation a couple of times now. The band has toured with many big names in the music like Rose Maddox, Patsy Montana, Ferlin Husky, Stonewall Jackson, Charlie McKoy, Narvel Felts, Norma Jean, Herb Remmington, Bob Everhart, Liz Meyer, Janet McBride, Tommy Cash, George Hamliton IV. Jarda Jahoda has performed many times with the US bluegrass star Chris Jones and is co-founder of the famous Czech bleugrass group Monogram.
