Spruce Pine - NL
The band started in 1977 after Dennis Schut had organised a European Tour for USA bluegrass singer/songwriter Charlie Moore and accompanied him as a guitarplayer and driver. Charlie lived in Spruce Pine/ North Carolina at the time. The band has gone through several personell changes. Long time banjoplayer Geert Schoonderwoerd left and Ralph Schut has since picked up his Czech handbuilt Janish banjo and layed down his mandolin for the time being. Every now and then he picks up his Martin to play lead guitar. Long time bandmember Ingeborg schultze has again taken up the mandolin. Ralph's younger brother bought a nice old Czech bass and directs the band's rhythm. The group has performed in many European countries for many years, from the North of Scotland to the centre of Slovakia and the south of the Czech Republik. They have recorded two LP's, four CD's and participated on several other recording projects. Their latest CD called "A BluegrassCountry Tribute to Hank Williams" was presented in February 2004 in the Czech Republik as well as in The Netherlands. Whenever possible, the group is complimented by some of their Czech friends.
