As you might guess from the unusual name of the band this bluegrassband does not sing their bluegrass in english but they use their own local dialect from the northern province of Groningen.They have just finished their 3rd CD which was presented on April 1st. Lead sinegr Bob Heidema writes most of their own original material. The group started out with a fabulous english musician, Adrian Farmer who lived in Groningen at the time and had played and recorded with Spruce Pine at the time. He has been since replaced by Johanna Hamstra or "Banjohanna" as she is called by her friends and fans. She does a great job, but every now and then Adrian comes over to Holland and plays and records with the goup, while playing his banjo, guitar, dobro or even his Portugese Gitarra.

Sunny Side - CZ

This succesful Czech band` plays pure traditional 50's bluegrass music, the way Bill Monroe and the Osborne Brothers would have wanted it. They even use all the original keys the songs were recorded in!. The bandmembers met each other during the 3rd meeting of the European Bluegrass Network in Velke Nemcice in august 1997 and then decided to form a band together. Last year they took on a new leadsinger, the fabulous Pavel Handlik, formerly with the Czech group Lojzici, performing on the EWOB with themin 1998. The group has sofar released two CD's, the second one with Pavel Handlik, who also plays with his own new band called Shade Of Blue..
